About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Train, evaluate, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in F&B Operations to ensure cultural and core standards are met.
  • Manage daily outlet operations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Work in different departments as needed while following all required standards.
  • Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle guest complaints, concerns, or special requests.
  • Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette and process guest orders.
  • Describe menu items to guests with vivid descriptions, including origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Coordinate timely delivery of items to guest rooms by IRD Servers to ensure proper food quality.
  • Accurately close guest checks, record guest charges, and gratuities.
  • Oversee the amenity program to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Communicate guest orders and special requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system.
  • Check completed kitchen orders against the guest’s original order.
  • Control labor expenses through effective scheduling and inventory control.
  • Focus on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Nurture and maintain relationships with regular guests and cultivate relationships with new patrons to increase loyalty.
  • Describe and ensure the quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Provide knowledge of wine and spirits.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Process cash and credit card payments.
  • Settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with all Hotel team members, guests, and clients.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
  • Assist with the service of food to guests.
  • Assist in making dining reservations and seating guests.
  • Assist with the cleaning of operational areas.
  • Assist with taking food orders.
  • Plate and prepare food items.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other Food & Beverage areas when needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience leading a team within luxury food & beverage/hospitality operations.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
  • Work authorization in the United States required.

Skills

  • Flexible schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
  • Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
