About the Role

This position is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the plant. We create quality products in a safe environment for our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
  • Install and maintain utility equipment including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
  • Change out and setup equipment.
  • Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment.
  • Perform basic math functions.
  • Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Work on demand in emergency situations.
  • Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • Complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
  • Keep all work areas clean.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to lift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
  • Must be willing and able to reach high and low levels, frequently.
  • Must be willing and able to stand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours.
  • Must be willing and able to climb stairs.
  • Must be willing and able to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10 degrees.
