About the Role
Coast is seeking an Integrations Engineer to scale the company into more complex environments. This role is at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and strategic partnerships, reporting into the Customer Success team. You will act as a GTM representative to Product & Engineering on integrations, independently building and supporting mission-critical integrations while partnering with external developers. The goal is to enable seamless adoption of Coast across complex organizations by integrating with accounting, ERP, telematics, and HRIS systems. This position is key to revenue expansion and offers an opportunity to shape enterprise integration strategy, impacting product adoption, retention, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform cross-functional scoping and rollout of strategic integrations, partnering with GTM, Product, and external teams.
- Represent GTM to Engineering on integrations, driving clarity around use cases and improving delivery processes.
- Identify, evaluate, and build integrations to deliver solutions critical to customer workflows and user experience.
- Own the technical success of integrations by driving planning, QA, and maintenance for key partner systems.
- Serve as the escalation point for support issues, questions on capabilities, and troubleshooting unexpected behavior.
- Work directly with customers alongside sales and customer success teams to understand operating environments and scope integrations.
- Collaborate with business and technical counterparts at partner companies to deliver integrations and improve their capabilities.
- Create reusable internal tooling and best practices for accelerating integration delivery.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert during partner evaluations and go-lives.
Requirements
- 4+ years of total experience across software engineering and business roles (e.g., integration development, solutions engineering, product management), with at least 3 years in engineering.
- Strong backend engineering skills, with a solid grasp of API design, data modeling, authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys), and AWS.
- Experienced integrating with complex systems or platforms.
- Familiar with AI coding tools and have used them to iterate on production codebases.
- Comfortable collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external partners, translating business objectives into technical deliverables.
- Energized by owning ambiguous, high impact projects end-to-end.
