About the Role
Braze is building an internal AI Transformation function to make AI the default starting point for work. The Forward Deployed AI Accelerator role involves rotating across non-revenue functions to embed with teams, rebuild workflows around AI, and enable them to become self-sufficient. This role is product-minded and outcome-driven, focusing on building and scaling AI impact across the company.
Responsibilities
- Embed with functional teams or cross-functional cohorts to deeply understand their work and rebuild high-leverage workflows around AI.
- Operate as a researcher to identify friction and opportunity, a builder to design and ship AI agents on shared infrastructure, and a coach to move teams toward self-sufficiency.
- Lead enablement sessions and stakeholder research to map intelligence gaps, manual effort, and workflow friction.
- Translate findings into a structured, prioritized backlog of problems to solve.
- Create custom tools, agents, automations, and prompts tailored to high-value workflows.
- Ship working solutions on real deliverables, not theoretical demos.
- Coach individuals through a progressive maturity model from awareness to self-sufficiency.
- Monitor adoption, diagnose output failures, and tune solutions continuously.
- Transition load-bearing agents into the shared Platform layer for durable operation after engagement.
- Document tools, playbooks, and transformation patterns to enable reuse and compounding of work.
- Share wins visibly to create demand and celebrate successes.
- Track individual and cohort progress against the AI maturity model.
- Complete engagements when a defined share of the cohort can build and modify their own tools and agents are productized.
- Prepare cohorts for an agentic future, including designing, building, and overseeing autonomous multi-agent workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a role requiring analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents, automations, or workflows that transformed real work processes.
- Experience running discovery or stakeholder research and translating it into a prioritized plan of work.
- Technical fluency sufficient to engage credibly on integration architecture, evaluate agent outputs at the system level, and contribute to prompt design, retrieval logic, and data workflows.
- Track record of coaching, teaching, or enabling others, with evidence of changed work practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Comfort working across multiple workstreams and relationships simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to ship things people actually use.
- Experience in marketing, finance, people/HR, legal, operations, or a closely adjacent business function.
- Proficiency with AI development tools and platforms.
- Experience with change management, organizational transformation, or large-scale enablement programs.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS technology and data stacks.
- Experience building and scaling internal tools, templates, or playbooks that were adopted beyond the immediate team.
- Background in consulting, solutions engineering, technical program management, or similar roles.
- Comfort with ambiguity and thriving in an environment where the playbook is being rewritten.
