About the Role

Heritage Deer Creek is seeking caring and compassionate Caregivers, CNAs, PCWs, and Resident Assistants to provide quality care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. Caregivers will attend to residents' individual needs and assist with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand individualized service plans (ISPs) for each resident and provide support per their service plan.
• Attend to residents' individual needs, including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, eating, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulating, range of motion, and communicating.
• Promptly and courteously respond to residents' pages and alarms.
• Provide resident care, administer medications (if med passer and delegated by RN), check vital signs, collect specimens, laundry, cleaning, and dining room setup.
• Assist with providing quality care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom, and choice of individuality.

Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift, move, push or pull objects 50-100lbs.
• Regularly required to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and kneel occasionally throughout a workday.
• Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal regulations.

Skills

• Ability to speak, write, and read English.
• CNA certification desirable, but not required.
• Completion of CBRF courses desirable, but not required.
