About the Role
The FIJ Associate Relationship Manager is responsible for covering Japanese institutional prospective clients, building relationships, and closing business. This role involves managing business development resources, orchestrating the sales process, and conducting presentations.
Responsibilities
- Interface with external partners and institutional team members to manage business development resources and orchestrate the institutional sales process.
- Ensure accurate and updated information regarding prospect personnel, decision-making processes, and search activity is recorded in FIJ proprietary systems.
- Cold call to establish contacts and arrange prospect meetings.
- Conduct formal presentations to convey investment philosophy and strategies to prospects and investment consultants.
- Prepare materials, strategize with senior management, and participate in presentations to win business.
- Explain and obtain initial new account documents from new clients.
- Explain relevant FI policies to clients and prospective clients.
- Maintain and update databases on communication activity with prospective clients and clients.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of success selling investment management to institutions or high net worth individuals.
- Competitive and self-motivated with the ability to set, monitor, and accomplish goals.
- Resourceful and organized with the ability to multi-task and address complex challenges managing a broad opportunity set.
- Required to travel.
- Solid investment knowledge; previous Institutional investment experience preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical and financial concepts such as geometric linking, cap/dollar/equal weightings, Alpha, Beta, Tracking Error, Information Ratio.
