About the Role

Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a team and ensure the smooth handling of cargo.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, sorting, and dispatching of cargo.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines and operational goals.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure proper documentation of cargo movements.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless cargo handling and delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare operational reports and updates for management.
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment by recognizing team contributions.
  • Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and others.
  • Cooperate with management to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided.
  • Fully understand AGI’s Health, Safety, and Security policies.
  • Attend training courses as required by AGI.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States.
  • If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and related tools.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
