About the Role

The Key Account Manager acts as the liaison between Takeda and treatment centers within their designated territory, serving as an ambassador for the Takeda brand, vision, and values. This role involves communicating verbally and in writing with Takeda teams across Canada and international clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver agreed strategy and tactics within key accounts, including compliant product, therapeutic area, and disease-state education to prescribers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant therapies, competitive products, data, studies, outcomes, and approved promotional messaging.
  • Develop, execute, and refine strategic account plans, including needs assessment, stakeholder mapping, objective prioritization, and milestone tracking.
  • Deliver approved clinical, financial, outcomes-related, and operational messages in a compliant and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate service and support, track KPIs and performance metrics, and present account business plans to management as required.
  • Achieve sales goals and key business metrics within the assigned territory.
  • Develop territory action plans, manage approved budgets, and identify compliant opportunities aligned to account needs.
  • Leverage CRM systems and customer insights to prioritize engagement, milestones, and follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional teams to align objectives and coordinate account activities.
  • Identify issues, propose solutions, and share in-field intelligence, customer insights, stakeholder activities, and market trends.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with applicable laws, industry codes, and Takeda policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in key account management in biotechnology/pharmaceuticals.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, strategic planning skills, and agility to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Experience managing complex reimbursement topics.
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience.
  • Cross-functional experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in-field, including overnight as required.
  • Takeda may use additional Talent Acquisition technologies and artificial intelligence to support the recruitment process, including video interviewing.
  • Artificial intelligence will be used to support, but not solely determine, applicability for a specific position.

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,400.00 - $149,050.00
