About the Role

We are seeking a strategic leader to build and own Flex's Financial Systems & Transformation function. This role involves defining a new pillar within Finance, extending beyond traditional ERP administration to AI infrastructure, process automation, and controls architecture for future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own internal financial systems including ERP, procure-to-pay (P2P), T&E systems, and financial reporting tooling.
  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows for a modern, scalable Finance function.
  • Lead the build-out of ITGC and financial systems controls to support business scaling.
  • Own ERP (Campfire) as the financial system of record, including configuration and governance.
  • Own P2P systems for AP and T&E, evaluating enhancements and long-term strategy.
  • Manage integrations between core financial systems and data sources, including payroll integration.
  • Serve as the internal product owner for financial systems enhancements.
  • Partner with Strategic Finance on FP&A tooling evaluation and administration.
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer additional tooling across Finance.
  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows to eliminate manual processes.
  • Own the technical architecture for agent-as-preparer workflows.
  • Partner with AI Central team to extend internal AI platform into Finance use cases.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize new automation opportunities across Accounting & Finance.
  • Establish and maintain operational health monitoring for automated workflows.
  • Own IT General Controls (ITGCs) across all financial systems.
  • Design and maintain the control framework and access architecture for automated/agentic workflows.
  • Build out broader controls readiness, including ITGC documentation and control testing support.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and external auditors on technology matters.
  • Build and maintain real-time close monitoring dashboards and alerts.
  • Partner with VP Controller to accelerate the month-end close cycle.
  • Support the build-out of automated financial reporting infrastructure.
  • Drive P2P process optimization and efficiency.
  • Build out and shape the Financial Systems & Transformation function over time.
  • Serve as the Finance function’s primary technical voice in cross-functional forums.
  • Champion AI and systems adoption across the Finance team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting technology, or a closely related field, with meaningful time in a high-growth or scaling environment.
  • Deep ERP expertise, ideally including implementation experience with platforms like NetSuite, Campfire, or Sage Intacct.
  • Strong finance and accounting foundation, including understanding of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Demonstrated experience building or owning IT General Controls and access control frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of financial master data design and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to design or re-engineer core accounting processes.
  • Experience working directly with external auditors (Big 4 preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and data pipeline design.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI and automation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to translate between finance, engineering, and executive audiences.
  • Comfort building and scaling in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment.
  • Experience with Campfire or another AI-native ERP platform is strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing or operating AI-automated workflows in a finance or accounting context is strongly preferred.
  • SOX compliance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with close management platforms and financial reporting automation tooling is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience at a fintech, payments company, or similarly regulated financial services environment is preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent credential is a plus.
  • Formal project management experience or training is preferred.
  • Experience leading close process optimization or standardization initiatives is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll and AP operational best practices is preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $180,000—$225,000 USD (Tier 1 - NYC/Bay Area)
  • $150,000—$190,000 USD (Tier 3 - Salt Lake City)
