About the Role
In this role, you will define how Chime measures member experience in the app and the impact of its AI-powered features. You will lead strategic analyses that shape decisions made by senior leaders across the company, framing the questions others aren't yet asking. This role requires a holistic view of the Chime app and AI experience, operating as a strategic partner to leaders while staying hands-on with data to uncover the story behind the metrics.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the measurement framework for Chime's AI and App Experience metrics, including definitions, methodology, and read-outs.
- Set the strategy for how Chime understands engagement, adoption, and the quality of its AI-powered features.
- Anticipate changes in member interaction with the app and AI experiences, build understanding for why, and shape leadership response.
- Serve as the arbiter of truth with data, raising the methodological bar for high-stakes analyses.
- Partner with leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Operations & Member Experience, and Marketing to pressure-test initiatives.
- Lead first-of-its-kind analyses and mentor data scientists through proactive inquisitiveness and data dexterity.
- Ensure work leads to product changes and multiply impact by mentoring data scientists.
Requirements
- 5-7 years in data-focused roles, leading analyses or building data tools that shape executive decisions.
- Deep proficiency in product and experience metrics (engagement, adoption, retention, feature quality).
- Extensive stakeholder management experience at the Director/VP+ level.
- Expertise in SQL for translating business questions to queries and exploring data warehouses.
- Analytics engineering depth, including building data models in dbt and setting standards for durable data products.
- Sound statistical inference skills, with experience designing and interpreting experiments (A/B tests) valued.
- A focus on impact, ensuring work leads to product changes.
