About the Role

The Senior Technician must have an excellent understanding of the SCADA system and independently fault find and rectify issues via this and the plant’s equipment. Communicate clear instructions and information to MBT operatives to support operations and high emphasis will be placed on the plant availability and the performance of the biological process.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clear instructions and information to MBT operatives to support operations and high emphasis will be placed on the plant availability and the performance of the biological process
  • Conduct scheduled physical inspections in accordance with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) procedures
  • Carry out operational Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks and report findings with the shift supervisor and maintenance the maintenance team
  • Record all defects and findings accordingly and assist with KPI data entry
  • Provide line management with specialist knowledge and hands on expertise rectifying and preventing problems such as equipment failure, material blockages and biological process inefficiencies
  • Prepare both facilities for daily operation and carry out necessary prestart equipment checks in conjunction with the shift supervisor
