About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our expert team at a client in the radio and communications industry. You will work with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and future-oriented technologies.

Responsibilities

• Product development from idea generation and conception through detailed design (3D-CAD) to successful series production of devices, systems, and micromechanics/electronics.
• Design and implementation of thermal management, cooling, and ventilation concepts for electronic devices using thermal simulations.
• Support of development samples through to production transfer, including series production and type testing.
• Product data management (PDM), change management, product maintenance, and documentation for designs.
• Collaboration with other departments (e.g., electronics, software, manufacturing) for holistic product development and continuous improvement.
• Creation of time and effort estimates, coordination of work packages, and calculation of manufacturing costs.

Requirements

• Completed degree in precision engineering, microtechnology, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering with a focus on design, or a comparable qualification.
• Practical experience in 3D-CAD design, ideally with NX.
• Sound knowledge of thermal processes and cooling of electrical devices.
• Basic knowledge of strength calculation for mechanical structures and design of statically and dynamically loaded components.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) or willingness to learn.
• Engaged, independent, and team-oriented way of working.
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills.
