About the Role
Argus Search is a specialized HR and Finance recruitment consultancy connecting top talent with leading companies in Berlin. We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Accountant/Bookkeeper (gn) on behalf of a client.
Responsibilities
- Independent processing and booking of all current business transactions
- Review, entry, and booking of incoming invoices, bank transactions, and travel expense reports
- Execution and monitoring of all payment transactions
- Active participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Close cooperation and coordination with tax advisors and other external service providers
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally as a tax assistant, financial bookkeeper, or with comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Sound knowledge in current accounting, especially in processing incoming invoices, bank bookings, and payment transactions
- Experience in the preparation and support of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
- Proficient use of ERP systems, ideally NetSuite or comparable software
- Good MS Excel skills and a structured, meticulous way of working
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration with internal contacts and external partners, especially tax advisors
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented work style with a strong hands-on mentality
