About the Role

Marie Claire US is seeking a Senior Shopping Editor to create engaging content focused on self-styling, trend identification, and market edits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Marie Claire US reader, a unique point of view on trends, and the ability to leverage data to inform content strategy. This role involves writing, video creation, social media management, and representing the brand publicly.

Responsibilities

Write an average of two stories each day for the Fashion vertical, emphasizing self-styling, trend identification, and market edits.
Self-shoot, edit, and post 2-3 first-person videos weekly on social platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
Oversee ShopMy coverage on Instagram with the social lead to boost sales.
Monitor editorial, social, and affiliate performance to identify patterns and optimize future output.
Represent the brand on social media, other outward-facing media (e.g., TV hits), and at events.

Requirements

Instincts around what feels aspirational, timely, and commercially relevant.
Familiarity with the fashion retail landscape, including luxury, contemporary, and mass market.
Distinctive fashion point of view, with the ability to translate trends into accessible shopping recommendations.
Experience speaking directly to an audience about styling, with an emphasis on self-styling.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience managing social and editorial calendars.
Experience reviewing data to inform output.
Experience filming and editing social-first videos.
