About the Role
Provide sessions that support children's development, encourage parent-child attachment, focus on outdoor learning, and build a strong foundation for life from the earliest years. Deliver EYFS-focused group sessions in Family Hubs and other sites, with potential for online delivery. Lead evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 and group basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide sessions supporting babies and children's development.
- Encourage parent-child attachment.
- Focus on outdoor learning.
- Deliver EYFS-focused group sessions for babies, children, and families.
- Deliver sessions in Family Hubs and other delivery sites.
- Deliver some sessions online as required.
- Lead facilitation of evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 and group basis.
Requirements
- Use initiative to deliver sessions in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Adapt session delivery to meet the needs of diverse communities.
- Be passionate about working with families and children to reduce escalation of need.
- Possess a childcare qualification at level three or above or equivalent.
- Possess recent significant experience in working with babies or young children and be willing to attend training within 6 months of appointment.
- Willing to work weekends.
- Must pass an enhanced DBS check.
- This is a 1-year fixed-term post.
- Complete the application fully.
- Supporting statement must cover how each person specification criterion is met.
