About the Role
We are seeking an analytically minded professional with experience in index management, ETFs, or capital markets and a passion for investing, communication, and data-driven analysis. Responsibilities
- Take ownership of client-facing index operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of index data, files, and methodology information.
- Act as a key contact and trusted partner for an international client base, translating complex thematic and benchmark concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Handle client inquiries on index composition, calculations, and treatment logic with clarity, confidence, and a strong service mindset.
- Translate complex index methodologies and corporate action treatments into structured, transparent explanations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate and communicate index changes, rebalances, and exceptional events across internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor daily index production with a focus on output quality, consistency, and client impact.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, and developers throughout the software development lifecycle to enhance index platforms and client deliverables.
- Drive process improvements with a focus on automation, scalability, and consistent high-quality outputs, leveraging modern tools and AI-supported workflows where appropriate.
- Support strategic client relationships by anticipating needs and proactively addressing potential issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in index operations, financial data, asset management, or a comparable client-facing role.
- Experience managing and fostering client relationships in Canada and across a global client base.
- Strong understanding of index methodologies and corporate action impacts on indices.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to clearly explain investment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Innovative, analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and high attention to detail.
- Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and accountability for deliverables in a time-sensitive environment.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and intercultural competence, comfortable working across global teams.
- Interest in data, technology, and process automation; advanced Excel skills required.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
