About the Role
This part-time sales role, based out of our new North York Training Centre, involves supporting retail customers with their safety equipment needs and conducting qualitative mask fit tests. The role is for weekends and possibly weekday evenings.
Responsibilities
- Support customers in finding appropriate safety equipment.
- Conduct equipment sales transactions.
- Perform store opening and closing tasks.
- Monitor inventory of training centre materials and supplies.
- Resolve customer questions about training and services.
- Provide qualitative mask fit testing.
- Educate mask fit customers on mask use best practices.
- Perform other duties as required to support the location and client services teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in customer service and sales in a retail environment.
- Experience in an occupational health and safety role preferred.
- Education in medical administration or occupational health and safety preferred.
- Experience in delivering qualitative mask fit testing is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and independent setting.
- Working knowledge of and experience using Google Drive and Gmail.
- Proficiency with Square or other cashless POS systems is considered an asset.
- Ability to prioritize conflicting priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
