About the Role

Oversee the work activities of cleaners within the site, supervising staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
  • Monitor cleaning equipment condition and order cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring secure storage.
  • Liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
  • Communicate requests to the team, confirm completion, inspect work, and submit daily cleanliness reports.
  • Initiate regular training on procedures for chemical cleaner usage.
  • Ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
  • Provide daily cleaning support to designated private areas of the building as needed.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to accomplish team objectives.
  • Establish new techniques to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Ensure personal and team outcomes positively impact customer objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.
  • Fulfill physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own function and basic knowledge of related job functions.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
