About the Role
Oversee the work activities of cleaners within the site, supervising staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Monitor cleaning equipment condition and order cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring secure storage.
- Liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
- Communicate requests to the team, confirm completion, inspect work, and submit daily cleanliness reports.
- Initiate regular training on procedures for chemical cleaner usage.
- Ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
- Provide daily cleaning support to designated private areas of the building as needed.
- Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to accomplish team objectives.
- Establish new techniques to ensure the team meets its objectives.
- Ensure personal and team outcomes positively impact customer objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.
- Fulfill physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own function and basic knowledge of related job functions.
- Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
