About the Role

The Territory Manager is responsible for assisting in the evaluation of dealerships within an assigned region. This position supports Toyota’s sales activities through dealer, national accounts, and fleet sales, as well as product planning, marketing, incentives, pricing, production forecasting, ordering, training, and customer support for the Toyota THD product line.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and secure new profitable business for the company
  • Develop plans to sustain and grow customers parts and service business
  • Initiate and manage maintenance conversions at new customer facilities
  • Prepare price quotations and proposals
  • Make recommendations to sales management regarding pricing strategies
  • Conduct fleet analysis at customer sites
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide fleet optimization recommendations targeted at leaning the customer's fleet
  • Deliver customer solutions through programs designed to reduce costs
  • Review analytics to identify training solutions to further reduce costs
  • Work with customer and national account manager on equipment replacement plan
  • Assist in collection of receivables if accounts are delinquent
  • Coordinate with management to develop effective strategies for closing prospect opportunities
  • Contact existing customers to ensure account retention
  • Develop strategies for growing revenues in geographic markets or specific service lines
  • Execute approved business development plans for assigned sales territory

Requirements

  • Sales experience with proven success
  • Material Handling Industry experience preferred
  • Up to 80% travel required throughout designated Territory and trips to East Chicago for training in the beginning
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales processes and value selling in a competitive market
  • Proficient MS Office computer skills including using Excel to produce reports and facilitate customer-driven requests
  • Ability to work remotely while traveling regionally
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

  • $94,000 - $150,000 per year
