About the Role
Join New London Dental Care, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, as a full-time Dental Hygienist. We are dedicated to providing quality dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. We are seeking a candidate with a strong work ethic and a team-player attitude. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and apply fluoride and sealants.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and assess gum health.
- Select appropriate materials and equipment based on patient's oral health.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care.
- Document patient vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting.
- Sterilize dental equipment.
- Take necessary dental x-rays as recommended by the ADA.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines.
- Possess a professional and positive attitude.
- Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH).
- Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined.
- Dental office experience (preferred).
- Dentrix Ascend software experience (preferred).
