About the Role
An experienced Membership Engagement Manager is sought to lead the membership function for a professional membership organisation during a 12-month maternity cover. This role focuses on driving engagement, improving retention, and ensuring an outstanding member experience, while also supporting organisational growth and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a small membership team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Develop and implement strategies for membership engagement and retention to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to increase membership value through improved engagement, onboarding, and communications.
- Manage the complete membership lifecycle, ensuring efficient and high-quality services.
- Analyze membership data and CRM insights to identify trends, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders on targeted engagement and retention campaigns.
- Support regional engagement activities to ensure a consistent member experience across networks.
- Cultivate strong relationships with volunteers, committees, and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to CRM and digital transformation projects to enhance member experience and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivering successful membership engagement, retention, and growth initiatives.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams, including hybrid or remote colleagues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics or similar) for insight and performance.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret membership data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience within a membership organisation, professional body, trade association, or similar environment.
- Experience with CRM implementation, member journey improvement, or Power BI is advantageous but not essential.
