About the Role

At Outpost, Operations means problem-solving at scale. We tackle the company's toughest challenges with speed, precision, and creativity. We design systems that unlock efficiency and power global growth. We're looking for a junior generalist to work inside that engine. You'll be attached to real initiatives across the business - product, onboarding, market launches, finance, GTM - and you'll own concrete pieces of them end to end. This is a generalist role where you'll value breadth over depth. You'll work directly with the founding team, compressing years of learning into months.

Responsibilities

  • Feed learnings from merchants and the market back into the product roadmap.
  • Help scope features by gathering pain points, sizing opportunities, and drafting specifications.
  • Track product performance and competitive positioning.
  • Run and improve processes for onboarding, compliance, and merchant operations.
  • Support new market launches by owning and driving checklists for legal, tax, payments, and operational steps.
  • Join customer conversations, prepare materials, and follow up to keep deals moving.
  • Write playbooks and documentation to enable scaling without increasing headcount.
  • Build and maintain models for unit economics, pricing, and market planning.
  • Maintain clean, current, and trusted KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Support the preparation of investor updates and board materials.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience, or exceptional straight out of university.
  • Internships or a first role in high-growth fintech or tech, consulting, banking, or a startup.
  • STEM or quantitative degree preferred, but not required if analytical horsepower can be demonstrated.
  • Evidence of building, running, or fixing something real (a project, business, system, analysis).
  • Ridiculous bias for action; you solve, not observe.
  • Analytically strong; comfortable in a spreadsheet, curious about SQL, allergic to unquantified claims.
  • AI-native by instinct; reach for Claude, scripts, and no-code to solve problems efficiently.
  • Precise; check your work before it's requested, as mistakes can have significant consequences.
  • Strong EQ; ability to read a room, a customer, or a blocker.
  • Exceptionally hard working; view work as a core part of your purpose.
  • Fluent in ambiguity and chaos; comfortable in a startup environment.
  • Curious and resourceful; able to figure anything out.
  • Clear, quantified achievements on your CV.
  • Not an internship where you watch; you'll carry real workstreams with real deadlines.
  • Not a single-function track; you won't specialize in year one.
  • Not for someone who needs defined processes and hierarchy to be effective; you'll often be building the process.

About the Company

  • Global expansion is broken. Without a local entity, conversion rates fall, costs rise, and compliance gets messy. Outpost fixes it.
  • Selling internationally is a maze of tax, payments, and operational friction. Most brands avoid it or expand slowly and expensively.
  • Outpost is your modular back office for global commerce. Pick only what you need (tax, payments, treasury, or operations) and unlock new markets without the overhead.
  • Sometimes we act as Merchant of Record, taking on tax and compliance risk. Other times, we give you the tools to do it yourself.
  • Sell anything, anywhere. Without compromise.
