About the Role
This position is responsible for wiring electronic components, soldering, assembly, and performing basic electrical checks to manufacture high-quality products.
Responsibilities
- Works in a manner that meets or exceeds established effectivity goals.
- Manufactures high-quality products meeting quality specifications and workmanship standards.
- Wires to strain gauges.
- Wires to electronic components and feed throughs.
- Performs electrical module installation and assembly.
- Performs simple mechanical assembly.
- Performs resistor winding and assembly.
- Performs electronic component installation.
- Performs electrical harness wiring and cable construction.
- Performs through-hole component soldering on PCBs.
- Performs surface mount component soldering on PCBs.
- Inspects own work and makes adjustments to correct difficulties.
- Performs basic electrical checks.
- Uses precision measuring instruments to verify work quality.
- Works from detailed drawings, work instructions, specifications, and production control documents.
- Possesses basic computer skills for production reporting and data retrieval.
- Ensures proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Places waste in the properly labeled container(s).
- Follows safety procedures, uses proper PPE, attends training, and reports any spills.
- Works safely, performs required housekeeping tasks, and actively participates in all plant safety directives.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass Soldering 101 course during the first 90 days.
- Must attain J Standard Certification within the first year.
- Ability to learn and apply basic technical concepts.
- Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
- Flexible with work and job assignments.
- Willing to perform any function as needed.
- Possess basic computer skills including database software and electronic mail software.
- Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
- Must not be color blind.
- Must have steady hands with good dexterity.
- Company issued annual eye exam.
- This position is restricted to US Citizens, Permanent Residents or Green Card Holders.
