About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a professional to join their entrepreneurial and inclusive team, focusing on delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions. This role involves managing projects, contributing to business development, and improving advisory processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist or lead the delivery of high-quality Technical Due Diligence (buy-side, vendor-side, lenders), striving to exceed client expectations.
- Manage small projects or sections of large commissions.
- Contribute to the review of technical, operational, and commercial aspects of proposed infrastructure investments.
- Work effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different teams and capabilities within global Arcadis.
- Contribute to business development through preparation of technical and commercial offers for Due Diligence and Advisory services.
- Contribute to internal team development and wider Arcadis through knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Requirements
- STEM degree (preferred: electric/mechanical/chemical/civil engineering, physics, chemistry) or equivalent experience.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Experience in at least one infrastructure sector (Renewables, Oil&gas, Digital and Datacentres, Manufacturing, Transport, Water and Regulated Power) acquired through consulting, investment, operations, or asset management.
- Growth mindset, curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to take the lead on diverse tasks.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Flexibility and capacity to work on tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, self-sufficiency, and ability to work successfully in a fast-turnaround team environment.
- Team player, able to deliver projects collaboratively and inclusively.
- Experience in Due Diligence and transaction advisory is highly regarded.
- Specific exposure to GB regulated water/wastewater sector and/or regulated energy networks is desirable.
- Exposure to financial modelling, project finance, and/or commercial advisory is desirable.
- Exposure to bid preparation and client development is desirable.
- Chartership to a relevant professional body (e.g. IET, IMechE, ICE, CFA, MCA) is favourably considered.
