About the Role

We are looking for an experienced person to join our Google Alliance team. This critical role requires creative, cognitive, and emotional intelligence to deliver ingenious solutions on the Google Cloud Platform, setting direction and taking responsibility for successful outcomes. You will lead development teams or provide centralized expertise across multiple teams, owning DevSecOps processes and acting as a key client point of engagement.

Responsibilities

Set direction and take responsibility for successfully achieving an outcome or deliverable.
Lead a development team or work across multiple teams, providing centralized expertise.
Own the overall DevSecOps process across a team or multiple teams.
Build strong principles and put robust methods and patterns in place for DevSecOps.
Have regular conversations with the client, acting as a main point of engagement.
Coach and mentor the team.
Play an active role in technical account management.
Design ingenious GCP-enabled solutions and services for clients.
Support further development of specializations and increase GCP certifications.
Engage in a sleeves-up, fully associated, and immersive working week.
Fulfill the best outcome for clients as a client-facing team member.

Requirements

Pragmatic understanding that building a platform is only part of cloud engineering.
Clear communication with clients and peers in written and verbal contexts.
Confident problem solver and troubleshooter.
Confident and generous in sharing specialist knowledge, ideas, and solutions.
Knowledge of when a platform is "fit for purpose".
Constantly learning and able to make others better through teaching and inspiration.
Obsessed with maintaining PA’s reputation and credibility at a high level.
Unafraid to initiate corrective actions when standards are not met.
Expertise in architecture and comfortable leading higher-level architectural discussions.
Experience of DevSecOps processes.
Development and/or scripting experience (e.g. Python, Node, Bash).
Sound understanding of Architectural principles: Microservices patterns, Event-driven architectures and message queues, Relational and non-relational databases, Security best practices for access control, data protection and communications.

Security controls, including Cloud IAM, PAM, VPC Service Controls and Security Command Centre
Knowledge of other cloud platforms
Automation DevOps experience using Google tech like Cloud Build and open source tech like terraform
