About the Role
The Assistant Chief Engineer provides critical leadership in supporting the Chief Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of engineering systems. This position involves overseeing engineering projects, managing technical teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in planning, coordinating, and supervising engineering activities and projects.
- Manage and mentor engineering staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all engineering systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate engineering solutions that support organizational goals.
- Conduct technical evaluations, troubleshoot complex engineering issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, budgets, and documentation to support decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to manage engineering projects and lead technical teams effectively.
