About the Role

National Grid is seeking a Corporate Property Manager to manage a portfolio of corporate sites, ensuring exceptional environments for colleagues, customers, and partners. This role involves leading facilities and property services, driving supplier performance, and creating safe, sustainable, and future-fit workplaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and day-to-day management of facilities services across your portfolio of sites.
  • Act as the key point of contact for workplace, facilities, and property-related matters.
  • Manage hard and soft facilities management service providers to ensure exceptional service, compliance, and value for money.
  • Champion a strong safety, health, environmental, and security culture across sites and suppliers.
  • Ensure buildings meet statutory obligations and National Grid governance standards.
  • Identify and resolve operational, environmental, and safety risks.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and maintaining a visible on-site presence.
  • Support projects, workplace changes, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Experience within facilities management, property management, or workplace operations.
  • Strong knowledge of hard and soft FM services, statutory compliance, and workplace best practice.
  • Experience managing suppliers and holding partners accountable for performance and service delivery.
  • A good understanding of building services, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • The ability to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Membership of, or working towards membership of, IWFM, BIFM, IOSH, or an equivalent professional body.
  • NEBOSH Certificate and a full UK driving licence.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
