About the Role

The Crisis Management Division is expanding its Credit and Political Risks class, aiming to build a scalable, market-leading offering. This role is crucial for supporting this expansion by underwriting a wide range of Credit and Political Risk submissions and developing the new book.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite a wide range of Credit and Political Risk submissions, with an opportunity to develop the new book and help shape it.
• Prioritize high levels of service for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend client & broker meetings and represent Hiscox as required.
• Work with internal stakeholders to complete ad-hoc tasks such as compiling reinsurance information, supporting QBRs, and reviewing parts of the book.
• Work closely with pricing actuaries, operational support, and exposure management teams to ensure achievement of shared goals.

Requirements

• A proven track record and strong reputation of either underwriting or broking.
• An organized individual who can manage their time effectively.
• Decisive in nature, displaying good judgment in decisions and taking accountability.
• A great communicator, someone who is a team player and who can work with people at all levels, demonstrating natural interpersonal skills.
• A driven individual who demonstrates interest and enthusiasm to learn within the role.
• Demonstrate a willingness to travel internationally as required and attend evening business social events as appropriate.
