About the Role
Join our Residential Team as a Direct Support Professional and make a real impact by supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives. Assist with personal care, household tasks, community outings, and recreational activities to create a safe, supportive home environment where individuals can grow and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living, including communication, social, recreational, leisure, self/personal care, household management, travel, work-related/vocational opportunities, and money management, in accordance with an individualized plan of service and safety considerations.
- Provides training opportunities to enhance each person's self-sufficiency in independent living.
- Promotes agency mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/experience preferred.
- If driving is required, must have a reliable means of transportation, a NYS driver's license, and a safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

- $18.50 - $19.70 per hour
- $17.50 per hour (per diem/substitute)
