About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to provide high-quality support to a marketing client in London. This role involves managing daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledgers, invoice processing, credit control, VAT returns, and maintaining financial records. You will ensure compliance, streamline financial processes, and deliver timely financial information to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping needs
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers
- Process invoices
- Handle credit control
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Ensure compliance
- Streamline financial processes
- Deliver accurate, timely financial information
- Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
- Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
- Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
- Drafting payment runs for approval
- Supplier reconciliations
- Bank postings and reconciliations
- Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Payroll and pension administration (possibly)
- Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of UK-based experience as a Finance Manager
- Must be self-employed
- At least 2 days of availability per week
