About the Role
Axle has become the leader in its operational markets, and we are looking for someone to help run and optimize the rhythms at the heart of the business. This role involves developing a deep understanding of flexibility markets across the UK, collaborating cross-functionally, crunching numbers, and owning critical daily and monthly operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Owning operations for UK energy trading, including daily trading processes and reviewing settlements.
- Debugging complex edge cases across trading, asset registration, and settlement processes.
- Identifying and proactively mitigating risks to revenue and delivery.
- Communicating insights and actions clearly to engineering and commercial teams.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in Distribution System Operators (DSOs) and UK market regulators.
Requirements
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis, issue investigation, and process automation.
- Strong analytical skills, with daily use of MW, kWh, and £.
- A deep-seated motivation to combat climate change.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
