About the Role
Develop and execute public relations strategies to foster positive relationships and enhance communication between Town Councils and stakeholders, including residents, MPs, and Grassroots Leaders (GRLs). Lead the Communications Team in delivering Public Relations and Corporate Communication services, managing resident engagement, and coordinating community and corporate events.
Responsibilities
- Develop Public Relation strategy to maintain mutual relationship and improve communication channels between Town Councils and stakeholders.
- Lead the Communications Team to provide Public Relations and Corporate Communication service.
- Lead and motivate a team of 4 officers/executives.
- Manage and engage residents' queries, feedback, and complaints.
- Strategize and enhance outreach to residents and the public regarding estate works and Town Council initiatives.
- Manage press queries and print/social media.
- Coordinate community events and provide event management support.
- Lead the team in organizing Town Council events (1000-2000 participants) and private events (100-200 participants).
- Collaborate with MPs, grassroots organizations, and government agencies to enhance corporate and client image.
- Attend relevant site meetings and community events.
- Liaise with relevant agencies on public relations perspectives for collaborative projects.
- Attend chit chat sessions and Town Hall meetings.
- Meet with senior grassroots leaders and/or MPs on case-related matters and develop appropriate PR approaches.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as delegated by management.
