About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Editor to lead omnichannel content success across digital platforms, focusing on commerce content for Better Homes & Gardens. This role involves managing a content team, driving audience growth, and supporting revenue targets through data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Use data and audience insights to plan content strategy across site and socials, balancing short and long-term objectives.
  • Create and edit clean, on-brand, and engaging content across digital platforms to meet audience and revenue targets.
  • Optimize existing content using SEO insights and tools, converting to shoppable content where possible.
  • Ideate and execute commercial content opportunities in collaboration with the Commercial Team and Content Partnerships Leads.
  • Ensure all digital, social, shopping, and newsletter outputs for the brand are met.
  • Analyze and report on performance across all channels, adjusting approach as needed.
  • Assign digital tasks and workflow to the content team, ensuring fair workload distribution.
  • Drive a high-performing team culture through regular feedback via 1:1s and team meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of editing experience in digital media, preferably in food, homes, gardening, or lifestyle.
  • Experience with content management systems, photo editing, and analytic tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in content management and the development of content strategies.
  • Strong content ideation skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO content.
  • Basic understanding of commercial drivers for websites and digital sales processes.
  • Experience as a team/people leader.
