About the Role
We are looking for a UX Designer to join our product team to lead end-to-end experience design of AI-enabled public sector products and services. You will apply design thinking to tackle complex, multi-stakeholder problems and ensure AI solutions are intuitive, transparent, and aligned with policy and operational needs. You should be comfortable working independently, influencing decision-making, and elevating the overall quality of design across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications that help government agencies better serve the needs of Singaporeans.
- Inform product and design decisions by working with the scrum team and other government agencies.
- Influence the digital experience for both agency users and the public.
- Gather requirements, co-create with stakeholders and the scrum team, test, prototype, and ship new features.
- Lead research efforts to identify opportunities for product growth or propose enhancements for existing tracks.
- Empower government agencies to create a seamless experience for citizens across digital services.
- Help citizens complete services with ease.
- Resolve agency pain points and improve operational efficiency.
- Use data to improve government services.
- Design for reusability across products.
Requirements
- Product and user-centric mindset.
- Desire to serve the public through technology.
- Ability to translate complexity into clear user journeys, workflows, information architectures, and interaction patterns.
- Ability to balance user, business, and technical needs and make informed trade-offs.
- Data-driven with experience in user research to justify design decisions.
- Ability to present design strategies and decisions to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Ability to analyze user feedback and activity, and iterate on design to enhance user experience.
- Ability to tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs.
- Meticulous with good problem-solving skills.
- Mastery of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Miro).
- Experience working within agile and cross-functional product teams.
- Frontend development knowledge is a bonus.
- At least 6-8 years of professional experience in UX, interaction, or product design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving.
- Exposure to AI-driven experiences.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to design for diverse user groups.
