About the Role

CODE is seeking a Student Teacher to support students in the Introduction to Software Engineering and Web Technologies Basics modules. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, assisting students with questions and project development, and providing feedback on their work.

Responsibilities

  • Help create a fun, rigorous environment for students to learn.
  • Answer student questions and support their learning journey via office hours, Slack, and during LUs.
  • Ensure essential course feedback reaches faculty.
  • Support students in discovering and developing their project ideas.
  • Run practice sessions for students in OS_01, assisting with content and challenges.
  • Review student hand-ins for SE_19 and provide feedback on project work for at least three structured hand-ins.

Requirements

  • Currently matriculated at CODE.
  • Have a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.
  • Have the right to work in Germany.
  • Have a German bank account.

Skills

  • Desire to help fellow students.
  • Some understanding and practical experience with Python.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring is a plus.
  • Experience with JavaScript is a big plus.
  • Built, deployed, and run in production more than one (small) full-stack web application including a database.
  • Passed the modules SE_01 and SE_19, or likely to pass it this semester.
