About the Role

You transform complex geo, sensor, and infrastructure data into usable information. You develop powerful data solutions from point clouds, raster, and vector data, as well as survey and flight data, ensuring spatial relationships, data quality, and functional consistency are always maintained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate scalable data solutions for processing large geo, infrastructure, and sensor data sets in the rail infrastructure environment.
• Design and optimize data architectures, data models, and data pipelines with a focus on performance, quality, and reusability for analytics, API, and AI applications.
• Process and quality assure geodata, including spatial reference, coordinate systems, and ensuring functional consistency across system boundaries.
• Analyze and interpret complex geodata from surveys, flights, sensors, and infrastructure sources, and derive appropriate quality and testing mechanisms.
• Advise product management, architecture, development, and business units on evaluating data sources, technical solutions, and data-driven use cases.
• Contribute to a stable and scalable production operation by considering operational, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance requirements.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in data engineering and in developing and optimizing high-performance data architectures in cloud environments.
• Sound expertise in handling large amounts of data and their efficient processing in production-critical systems.
• Experience in processing and modeling geodata, e.g., vector, raster, or point cloud data.
• Understanding of operating scalable data platforms, including monitoring, logging, stability, and maintainability.
• Knowledge of modern DevOps and CI/CD methods for automating build, test, and deployment processes.
• Willingness to occasionally support our customers on-site.
