About the Role

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is a world leader in life science engineering and technical solutions, providing a comprehensive portfolio of technical support and solutions for the FDA-regulated industry. Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule available resources and materials for calibrations, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities efficiently.
• Review and approve/disapprove incoming work requests.
• Develop and report work backlog reports.
• Develop detailed work scope and setup forecasts for resource allocation to ensure maintenance activities align with manufacturing operations.
• Oversee work order activity compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, DEA, OSHA).
• Manage work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Review Field Service reports to identify follow-up work requirements and integrate them into work orders.
• Optimize calibration and preventive maintenance plans.
• Improve productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and access.
• Compile and maintain the Master Schedule to establish sequence and lead time for operations based on production forecasts or machine-specific needs.
• Coordinate accurately among laboratory/manufacturing operations, field service engineers, service providers/subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Plan, execute, and provide purchase requisitions and orders for materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner, meeting quality standards.
• Initiate Incident Notifications for Out of Tolerance calibrations as per client procedures.
• Create Equipment Records in the CMMS for new equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical).
• In lieu of a degree, 2-year college technical school with 10+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in a laboratory/manufacturing maintenance environment is highly preferred.
