About the Role

Provide senior support and assist management in developing strategies to manage industrial relations issues. Represent management in negotiations and dispute resolution, lead consultations with trade unions, and provide research and advisory services on industrial relations policy. Develop and implement strategies regarding Award enhancements and provide strategic advice to position the organization effectively. Manage Award documentation, drive policy reviews, and appear before industrial tribunals to defend the organization in claims and disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in developing strategies for industrial relations issues
  • Represent management in negotiations and conflict/dispute resolution
  • Lead and participate in consultations with trade unions and industrial stakeholders
  • Provide research and advisory services on industrial relations policy and procedure
  • Develop and implement Industrial Relations strategies regarding Award enhancements
  • Manage associated Award documentation and policy adjustments
  • Drive the ongoing cyclical review and contemporising of Industrial Relations doctrine
  • Appear before industrial tribunals to defend the organization in relation to individual claims and dispute matters
  • Liaise with senior executive to obtain settlement and other instructions
  • Advise the business on complex and contentious employee relations matters

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the industrial relations framework, issues, and trends relevant to the NSW public sector
  • Experience in providing industrial relations advice and contributing to the development of strategic industrial solutions
  • Experience in conducting, preparing for, and advocating complex industrial negotiations and cases before industrial tribunals
  • Experience in managing consultation and negotiations with trade unions and industrial stakeholders in a complex environment

Salary/Compensations

  • Package up to $161,698.72 pa
  • Salary range $129,464.00 pa to $142,665.00 pa
  • Includes employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
