About the Role
The Grants Development Coordinator II supports the growth and sustainability of the research grants and awards portfolio at Women’s College Hospital. This role manages the pre-award application cycle, provides editorial and strategic development support, and ensures compliance with institutional and funding agency policies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the pre-award application cycle for research grants and award nominations
- Provide comprehensive editorial and development support for applications
- Offer strategic, educational, and communications support regarding funding opportunities
- Track, analyze, and report on application data
- Develop and execute support strategies and project plans for major institutional grant initiatives
- Serve as a liaison with funding agencies regarding policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with WCH policies and risk ceilings during grant development
- Collaborate with Strategic Communications and the WCH Foundation to disseminate funding opportunities
- Work with researchers and staff to ensure high-quality, compliant applications
- Identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities
Requirements
- Must reside and be legally eligible to work in Ontario
- Undergraduate degree in a related field
- Minimum three years of experience in an awards, pre-awards, or grant development role
- Experience working with national and international granting agencies including Tri-Agencies, CFI, CRCS, and NIH
- Experience in grants-related budget development
- Knowledge of the current federal and provincial research funding environment
- Experience working in a research office or research operations environment
- Good work and attendance record
- Demonstrated commitment to WCH vision, mission, and values
- Ability to maintain professional behavior and communication standards
- Verification of credentials, health review, and proof of immunity/vaccination status required
