About the Role

Serve as a technical expert for local product variants and associated service offerings, acting as the primary interface between Engineering, Product Management, Service, and Sales to support product-related topics and ensure portfolio integrity. Drive product structure governance, support engineering changes, and enable scalable service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Own local variant drive products (ACS580MV, ACHx80, ACS2000, and LV variants), managing lifecycle activities, and supporting a high-volume portfolio with focus on quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Lead product structure and engineering governance, including SuperBOM ownership and engineering change management to ensure accurate, aligned configurations
  • Drive commercialization of service offerings by defining, productizing, and digitizing services (including AMC-built drives) for customer-facing platforms such as ABBShop
  • Manage spare parts lifecycle and product support, including obsolescence planning, and enabling sales and field teams with clear product and parts guidance while strengthening alignment with global product teams

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in product management, engineering coordination, and industrial drive systems within the motion or automation market
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical program management (experience with industrial drives or similar systems preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of product structures, BOM management, and configuration control processes
  • Demonstrate strong commercial aptitude, with the ability to connect product decisions to customer value, sales enablement, and business outcomes
  • Proficient with information systems and product management tools (e.g., ERP, PLM, or product configuration systems) and comfortable working across digital platforms
  • Passionate about driving clarity, improving execution, and enabling cross-functional collaboration
  • At ease communicating across technical and commercial stakeholders
