About the Role

Make a positive difference in our busy, dedicated, and supportive team at Sydney Adventist Hospital, NSW’s largest private hospital. This role involves entering and validating theatre and Day Procedure bookings, managing front reception, and handling general administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and validate theatre and Day Procedure bookings for upcoming surgeries.
  • Report to the Theatre Bookings Manager.
  • Work with the team to ensure optimal scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Effectively communicate requirements to relevant departments.
  • Cover front reception desk duties.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Organize patient files.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar clerical or administrative role is essential.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology is highly regarded.
  • A systematic and organised approach is required.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure is required.
  • Ability to maintain excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion is required.
  • Experience in scheduling and matching services to requests will be highly valued.
  • Strong computer literacy is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is essential.
  • Must be collaborative and adaptable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Ability to take feedback and adjust to changing needs and priorities is required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be a people person with strong customer service skills.
