Responsibilities
- Provide trusted, respectful support to Elders helping them live safely and comfortably at home and in community.
- Assist with home tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Provide transportation and personal care, including assisting with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, and feeding.
- Build relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure safety for yourself and customers.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Have a reliable car.
- Bring empathy, cultural awareness and a willingness to learn.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
- Non-Aboriginal carers committed to culturally safe care are also welcome.
- Both experienced and entry-level carers encouraged to apply.
