Responsibilities

Provide trusted, respectful support to Elders helping them live safely and comfortably at home and in community.
Assist with home tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
Provide transportation and personal care, including assisting with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, and feeding.
Build relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure safety for yourself and customers.

Requirements

Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
Have a reliable car.
Bring empathy, cultural awareness and a willingness to learn.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
Non-Aboriginal carers committed to culturally safe care are also welcome.
Both experienced and entry-level carers encouraged to apply.
