About the Role

Netflix is seeking a Coordinator, Production Management to support the management of Netflix Original titles (Film/Series) from a physical production perspective. This role involves building relationships with vendors, staff, and crew, managing production schedules, and supporting best practices from pre-production through delivery. The team oversees all aspects of physical production for Netflix Originals Japan.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to managers across all production tasks.
Set up and coordinate kick-off and ongoing production meetings internally and externally.
Identify and curate production staff, crew, filming locations, and vendors.
Support managers with title scheduling, budget management, and script breakdown.
Onboard production companies and freelance producers to Netflix systems and tools.
Enter and maintain production data in Netflix systems.
Manage guest visits and office visitor coordination.
Maintain internal and external production resources and documents.
Research vendors and analyze cost efficiencies.
Support schedule troubleshooting and communicate changes to internal/external teams.
Facilitate training sessions for production partners.
Serve as a liaison between internal and external partners.
Actively prepare for and participate in title-related meetings; consolidate and update managers.
Flexibly take on additional projects and seek opportunities to maximize team efficiency.

Requirements

2+ years of working experience on-set as a Producer or 5+ years as an Assistant Producer; Scripted (film/series) contents experience is required.
Strong passion for the entertainment industry, especially for Japanese live-action content.
Strong curiosity to learn and continue learning the most up-to-date production process and equipment.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and simultaneously support several projects.
Ability to respond after hours for important, timely, or urgent matters.
Team player who operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and cross-functional setting.
Selfless with an ability to help other colleagues and seek what is best for Netflix and not yourself.
Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.
Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly while being an effective communicator.
Willingness to take educated risks and think out of the box.
Willingness to travel across the region to help set up productions.
Fluency in Japanese is required.

Skills

Google Ecosystem (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail, and Drive) proficiency is a plus.
