About the Role

Play a key role in delivering world-class examinations by ensuring every stage of the exam journey is secure, compliant, and seamlessly executed. Oversee the planning and delivery of test-day operations, coordinating venues, equipment, materials, and invigilating teams to provide an exceptional candidate experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, and operational excellence. Lead the selection, contracting, and management of exam venues and delivery resources, ensuring they are cost-effective, fully compliant with British Council and awarding body requirements, and ready to support successful exam delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end operational delivery of examinations, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant test delivery.
  • Oversee test-day and post-test operations, including venue, equipment, and material coordination.
  • Conduct operational readiness checks, venue audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure secure handling and transportation of exam materials.
  • Support test-day staffing and rostering.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for venues and delivery teams.
  • Manage operational issues, incidents, and escalations.
  • Ensure all operational activities meet security, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and audit trails.
  • Support compliance audits and investigations.
  • Collaborate with Governance and Compliance colleagues.
  • Use customer feedback and operational insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee venue and supplier contracts, monitor costs, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure effective procurement and readiness of equipment and delivery resources.
  • Lead Delivery Network Assistants, venue staff, and temporary test-day teams, providing guidance and training.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating secure, regulated service delivery (e.g., exams, logistics, events).
  • Proven ability to manage venues, equipment, and logistics to strict security and quality standards.
  • Experience supervising staff or contractors.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work confidently in an English-speaking operational environment.
  • Experience working with awarding bodies or educational assessment services.
  • Good understanding of compliance, confidentiality, and audit requirements.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the job location.
