About the Role

Visa’s Payment Acceptance Client Engagement team focuses on partnerships and commercial arrangements with merchants, acquirers, payment facilitators, and gateways. The Senior Manager, Partnerships and Growth is responsible for identifying growth opportunities and converting client and ecosystem insight into measurable commercial outcomes. The role combines client engagement and cross-functional collaboration to position Visa as a value-led partner across payments, data, loyalty, marketing, and digital commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted go-to-market initiatives to support merchants, payment facilitators and gateways with acceptance optimisation, embedded commerce, tokenisation, fraud reduction, authorisation performance and value-added services.
  • Identify and prioritise new business development opportunities, creating structured pathways from market insight to qualified pipeline, client engagement, and commercial execution.
  • Build and nurture senior client and ecosystem relationships, acting as a trusted commercial advisor on growth, digital transformation, customer engagement, and payments innovation.
  • Drive opportunity creation by connecting client priorities to Visa’s capabilities, partner ecosystem, and broader market insights.
  • Drive lead generation, pipeline creation, and opportunity progression through targeted go-to-market programs, content-led engagement, and strategic account planning.
  • Convert engagement outputs into tangible commercial opportunities, including workshops, solution design sessions, proposals, pilots, and follow-on commercial discussions.
  • Support growth across Visa products and services by identifying partner-led expansion opportunities.
  • Serve as a recognised internal and external voice on merchant and acceptance partner growth, ecosystem collaboration, and scalable go-to-market execution.
  • Design and operationalise repeatable go-to-market frameworks that scale merchant and acceptance partner coverage, improve account team effectiveness, and accelerate opportunity conversion.
  • Act as a central orchestrator across sales, product, marketing, data, loyalty, consulting, risk, and partner teams to align priorities and deliver integrated client outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional planning sessions to define commercial objectives, solution pathways, engagement models, and ownership across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong customer, business development and sales experience with payment related expertise to deliver growth with key acceptance partners.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, with the ability to handle numerous partners and projects concurrently.
  • Substantial problem-solving ability with focus on impacting return on investment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
  • A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to build strong partnerships and drive value and growth for both parties.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, able to interrogate and uncover trends, meaning and deliver a narrative from data.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration capabilities across a matrixed organization.
  • Holds self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective results.
  • Experience in eCommerce or payments.
