About the Role
Team Leaders work in Graham’s Community Center programs, supervising children during academic, recreational, cultural, and youth development activities. They create a safe, engaging environment and help children build skills for future education, career, and long-term challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead activities such as academic enrichment, small group tutoring, art projects, interactive literacy, math and STEM activities.
- Complete and implement interesting and innovative lesson plans.
- Create a safe learning environment for participants.
- Maintain accurate student attendance reports and portfolio evaluations.
- Attend staff meetings and/or staff development activities.
- Lead and supervise groups of students during offsite trips.
- Empathize with program participants and plan appropriate interventions with staff and supervisors.
- Participate in Graham Windham’s organizational activities when appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with groups of children or youth is required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Candidates with previous DOE PETS and DOH fingerprints clearance are highly preferred.
Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
