About the Role
The Catering Sales Manager will plan and execute large-scale food and beverage sales for conventions, typically hosting between 1,500 and 6,000 guests at the Moscone Center.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients before and during programs.
- Provide leadership and communication between clients and event/food and beverage operations.
- Sell, plan, and detail menus for assigned shows.
- Collaborate with Event and Operations Managers on strategic planning.
- Prepare forecasts for retail services.
- Create sales orders, contracts, payment schedules, and event analyses.
- Act as a liaison between food and beverage sales, operations, event management, and clients.
- Plan all food and beverage details for events associated with assigned conventions.
- Interact with clients to determine program requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Food and Beverage Sales Manager or Planner.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must provide documents verifying U.S. citizenship or legal permission to work in the United States.
- Must undergo a background check.
Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to motivate staff to exceed guest expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of hospitality software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with diverse clients and staff.
