About the Role
The Universal Banker is an entry-level position focused on assisting with sales, product, or service activities to foster customer loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
- Provide service delivery to internal/external customers to resolve account service issues.
- Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
- Create sales opportunities from service transactions.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
- Support sales/service activities within the branch by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
- Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to policy and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices.
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous Retail Banking or similar experience required.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
