About the Role

iGaming Ontario is seeking students for its Student Program, offering valuable learning opportunities, hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to Ontario’s dynamic iGaming sector. This role supports the Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance department in promoting a safer online gaming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Track emerging responsible gambling (RG) trends and initiatives and create environmental scans.
  • Stay abreast of relevant RG and problem gambling (PG) research and create research summaries and implications/recommendations for iGO.
  • Support stakeholder consultations and engagement initiatives with online gaming operators and the RG community.
  • Assist in coordinating on-campus college/university RG/BetGuard presentations.
  • Support optimizing iGaming Ontario’s process related to RG Check and use of findings.
  • Coordinate internal iGaming Ontario employee RG culture building activities.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a college or university program in political science, sociology, psychology, or public policy.
  • Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop high-quality presentations and briefing materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment.
  • Must be living in the province of Ontario during the term of employment.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Will be subject to a criminal background check.
