About the Role
The Facilities Technician ensures the venue’s operational efficiency by executing routine and emergency maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs. This role supports exhibit installations and breakdowns, adheres to safety protocols, assists with custodial emergencies to maintain a clean environment, and conducts quality checks to ensure all maintenance and presentation standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Execute routine and emergency maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
- Support exhibit installations and breakdowns.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist with custodial emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all maintenance and presentation standards are met.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, technical operations, or exhibit installation preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose facilities and exhibit issues efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with multiple departments.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
